App: Camera Guide: Learn Photo

Effective date: August 4, 2026

This policy explains how the App handles information and the privacy choices available to you.

Important: This starter legal document is provided for general informational and drafting purposes. It should be reviewed and adapted by a qualified legal professional before production use.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you download, access, or use Camera Guide: Learn Photo (the “App”). The App is designed as an offline-first photography education tool that helps users understand camera settings, image quality, lenses, composition, and related topics through lessons, quizzes, favorites, and visual comparisons.

We believe privacy information should be clear and practical. This policy describes what information may be processed, why it may be processed, how purchases are handled, what choices you have, and how to contact us. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

The App is designed without account registration, social login, advertising profiles, or a requirement to submit your name, postal address, telephone number, photographs, camera roll, precise location, contacts, microphone recordings, or personal messages.

We do not intentionally operate an independent user-profile database for the App. We do not sell personal information, rent personal information, or use personal information for cross-app behavioral advertising. We also do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as government identifiers, financial account credentials, health records, biometric identifiers, political opinions, religious beliefs, or precise geolocation.

Please avoid including sensitive information when contacting support. If you voluntarily include such information in an email, it may be processed only to respond to your request.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

The App may store preferences and learning activity locally on your device. This may include onboarding completion, selected appearance, haptic preferences, comparison settings, favorite lessons, quiz progress, selected camera-setting values, and premium entitlement status available from Apple.

This information is generally used to provide continuity and personalization. For example, the App may remember which aperture value you last viewed, which lesson you favorited, or whether you completed onboarding. Local data remains subject to your device settings, backups, operating-system behavior, and any cloud backup service you independently enable.

You may be able to clear favorites, reset quiz progress, replay onboarding, or delete the App. Deleting the App typically removes data stored only inside its local container, although copies may remain in device backups controlled by you or your platform provider.

4. Purchases and Subscriptions

Camera Guide Pro may be available through weekly, monthly, lifetime, or other purchase options configured in the App Store. Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment-card number or Apple ID password.

Apple may provide transaction-related information needed to determine whether you have access to paid features. This can include product identifier, transaction status, purchase or expiration date, renewal state, revocation status, and a verification result. The App may cache entitlement information locally so that previously verified access can continue when appropriate.

Your payment, billing, refund, tax, subscription-management, and family-sharing information is handled according to Apple’s terms and privacy practices. You can manage subscriptions through your Apple account settings. Restoring purchases may require communication with Apple’s services.

5. Support Communications

If you contact us at support@presetpix.com, we may receive your email address, message content, attachments, device details you choose to provide, and related correspondence. We use this information to investigate problems, answer questions, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve documentation.

Support emails may be retained for a reasonable period for continuity, security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Please remove confidential or unnecessary information before sending screenshots or diagnostic details. We will not ask for your Apple ID password, payment-card PIN, or device passcode.

6. Technical and Diagnostic Information

The App may rely on operating-system services that produce limited technical information necessary for stability, purchase verification, crash handling, or compatibility. Depending on the final production configuration and your Apple settings, Apple may provide aggregated or diagnostic information such as app version, device model, operating-system version, launch failures, crash logs, or performance reports.

We do not intend to use this information to identify you personally. Diagnostic information is used to understand technical problems, improve reliability, and support current iOS versions. If third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools are added in a future version, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures should be updated before release.

7. Permissions

The core educational experience is intended to work without broad device permissions. The App may use standard system features such as sharing, opening mail, linking to subscription management, or opening external legal pages. These actions are initiated by you.

If a future feature requests access to photos, camera, notifications, files, or another protected resource, the App should display the relevant system permission request. You may deny or later change permissions in iOS Settings. Denying an optional permission should not prevent unrelated educational content from functioning.

8. Educational Images and Content

The App may contain locally bundled photography examples, simulations, diagrams, illustrations, and placeholder images. These assets are used to explain concepts such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focus, white balance, and focal length.

The App does not need to upload your personal photographs to provide these lessons unless a future feature explicitly says otherwise and obtains any required permission. Visual simulations are educational approximations; actual results vary by camera, sensor, lens, lighting, scene, and computational processing.

9. External Links and Services

The App may contain links to privacy policies, terms, the EULA, support email, subscription management, the App Store, rating pages, sharing options, or other apps. When you leave the App, the destination service may collect information under its own privacy policy.

We are not responsible for the privacy, security, availability, or content of third-party services. You should review the policies of Apple and any external website or service before submitting information.

10. Data Sharing

We do not intentionally sell or rent your personal information. Information may be shared only in limited circumstances, including with service providers that process communications or hosting on our behalf, with Apple for purchases and platform functionality, when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a legitimate business reorganization.

Any service provider should be permitted to use information only for the service being provided and subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. If the App’s data practices materially change, this policy should be revised before those changes take effect.

11. Legal Bases and International Use

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, information may be processed to perform a contract with you, pursue legitimate interests such as support and security, comply with legal obligations, or act with your consent. The available legal basis may vary by jurisdiction and the specific activity.

The App may be available in multiple countries. Support communications and limited technical records may be processed in jurisdictions with different data-protection laws. Where required, reasonable safeguards should be used for international transfers.

12. Retention

Local learning data is generally retained until you reset it, delete the App, or the operating system removes it. Purchase records are retained by Apple according to Apple’s policies. Support messages are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, including support continuity, fraud prevention, recordkeeping, and legal obligations.

Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information, legal requirements, security needs, and whether an unresolved request or dispute exists.

13. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the information processed. However, no software, device, email system, storage method, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, Apple account, backups, and email account. Use a device passcode, keep iOS updated, and avoid sharing purchase credentials or sensitive support details.

14. Children’s Privacy

The App provides general photography education and is not designed to collect personal information from children. It does not require an account or profile. A parent or guardian should supervise purchases and device use by children.

If you believe a child has sent personal information through support without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

15. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or information about certain processing. Because the App is designed to keep most learning data locally and does not require an account, we may not possess information that identifies a particular user.

You can manage local preferences within the App, manage subscriptions through Apple, control permissions through iOS Settings, unsubscribe from optional communications, delete support emails from your own mailbox, and delete the App to remove locally stored data from the active installation.

To make a privacy request regarding information we may hold through support communications, email us with sufficient details to identify the relevant correspondence. We may need to verify the request before acting.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App, law, security practices, or operational needs. The effective date at the top indicates when the current version became effective.

Material changes may be communicated through the App, an App Store update, or another reasonable method. Continued use after an updated policy becomes effective means the updated policy applies, to the extent permitted by law.

17. Contact

Questions, requests, or concerns about this Privacy Policy may be sent to:

Email: support@presetpix.com
App: Camera Guide: Learn Photo

Please include “Privacy Request” in the subject line and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

18. App Store Privacy Disclosures and Production Review

The privacy information displayed on the App Store should accurately match the production version of the App. Before release, the developer should review every software framework, system capability, server connection, website, support provider, and third-party service included in the final build. App Store privacy answers should not be based only on this document or on the intended design of the App.

If the production version later introduces analytics, advertising, cloud synchronization, user accounts, photo uploads, camera access, personalized recommendations, notifications, remote content, artificial-intelligence features, or additional support tools, the relevant privacy disclosures and permission descriptions should be updated before those features are made available.

The App should request only permissions that are reasonably needed for a user-selected feature. Permission text should explain the immediate purpose in clear language. Information obtained through a permission should not be used for an unrelated purpose without an appropriate notice and, where required, consent.

Privacy controls provided by Apple, including tracking choices, permission settings, subscription management, and device backup options, operate independently from this policy. Users should review their device and Apple account settings to understand those controls.
