Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how 4KVideo Camera Pro handles information when you use its camera, microphone, recording library, labels, sharing features, and in-app purchases.
1. Privacy Overview
4KVideo Camera Pro is designed as an on-device video camera application. Its main functions—camera preview, manual controls, video capture, audio capture, exposure metering, focus control, white balance, zoom, labels, playback, and local library management—are intended to operate on your Apple device.
We aim to collect as little personal information as reasonably necessary. The application does not require you to create an account to record video. Unless a future version clearly tells you otherwise, the developer does not operate a cloud account in which your original recordings are automatically uploaded.
2. Information You Create
When you record video, the application may create and store video files, audio tracks, thumbnails, timestamps, duration, codec information, frame-rate information, resolution, orientation, HDR indicators, labels, and other technical metadata needed to organize or play your recordings.
Recordings and labels are generally stored locally on your device. The developer does not view or listen to this content merely because you use the application. Content leaves the application only when you intentionally save, export, share, back up, or transfer it through an Apple feature or third-party service selected by you, or when device-level backup settings under your control include application data.
3. Camera Information
The application requests camera permission to show the live viewfinder, switch between available cameras or lenses, focus, meter exposure, zoom, stabilize, and record video. Camera frames are processed in real time by the application and iOS for preview and recording.
The application may read technical camera capabilities such as supported resolutions, frame rates, formats, color spaces, HDR support, stabilization modes, lens availability, zoom ranges, exposure limits, focus limits, and white-balance limits. This information describes the device hardware and is used to present compatible controls.
4. Microphone and Audio Information
The application requests microphone permission to record audio with video and display live audio levels or clipping warnings. It may read technical information about the current audio route, such as whether the built-in microphone, a wired microphone, a Bluetooth device, or another compatible input is active.
Where supported by iOS, the application may display available microphone characteristics, stereo capability, system Microphone Mode, Voice Isolation, Wide Spectrum, or similar audio-routing information. These readings are used to inform you about the active recording setup. The developer does not remotely listen to your microphone.
5. Photo Library and File Access
The application may request access to Photos or the iOS file-sharing interface when you choose to save, export, import, or share a recording. Depending on the iOS permission option you select, access may be limited to selected items or may allow broader library access.
We recommend using the most limited permission that still supports the function you want. You can change Photos permission at any time in iOS Settings. Revoking permission may prevent new exports or imports but does not necessarily delete recordings already stored inside the application.
6. Local Settings and Preferences
The application may store preferences such as selected resolution, frame rate, codec, quality level, bitrate option, aspect ratio, grid preference, horizon preference, brightness preference, stabilization mode, exposure behavior, focus behavior, white-balance selection, zoom behavior, audio mode, label colors, and onboarding completion.
These preferences are normally stored locally to make the application behave consistently between sessions. They are not intended to identify you personally.
7. Purchase and Subscription Information
If the application offers a subscription, trial, or lifetime purchase, Apple processes the transaction through the App Store. The developer does not receive your complete credit-card or bank-account details.
The application may receive limited purchase information from Apple, such as product identifier, entitlement status, renewal status, purchase date, expiration date, transaction status, and whether a purchase was restored. This information is used to unlock paid features, validate access, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and provide support.
8. Support Communications
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, screenshots, device type, app version, and diagnostic details. We use support information to respond, investigate problems, and improve the application.
Please do not send private recordings, confidential footage, passwords, full payment-card information, government identifiers, or other sensitive material unless it is genuinely necessary and you understand the risk. When a sample is needed to investigate a recording issue, use a non-sensitive test clip whenever possible.
9. Diagnostics and Crash Information
The application or Apple may provide diagnostic information when a crash, freeze, failed recording, or technical error occurs. Depending on your device settings and the tools used by the application, this information may include app version, iOS version, device model, memory conditions, storage conditions, error codes, stack traces, performance measurements, and feature configuration.
Diagnostic information is used to identify bugs, improve stability, test device compatibility, and reduce failed recordings. It is not intended to contain the visual or audio content of your recordings. However, file names, technical metadata, or user-entered labels could occasionally appear in logs, so avoid including highly sensitive information in labels.
10. Analytics
If privacy-respecting analytics are used, they may record general events such as app launch, onboarding completion, selected feature category, purchase-screen display, purchase success or failure, crash occurrence, or broad device capability. Analytics should not be used to reconstruct the contents of your recordings.
Where required by law or platform policy, consent will be requested before using analytics or tracking technologies that require consent. The application is not intended to track you across unrelated companies' apps and websites for advertising purposes.
11. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
We do not intentionally require your name, postal address, phone number, contacts, precise location, health information, biometric identity, or social-media account to use the core recording features. The application does not need your contacts to record video.
The application may capture location metadata only if a future feature explicitly requests location permission and explains its purpose. Unless such a request appears, the application is not designed to attach precise GPS location to recordings on the developer's behalf.
12. Sharing and Disclosure
We may share limited information with service providers that help operate legitimate functions such as App Store purchases, crash reporting, customer support, or application hosting. Service providers may process information only for the relevant service and subject to their own legal obligations.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect users, investigate fraud or security incidents, enforce agreements, or protect the rights and safety of the developer or others. We do not sell your original recordings.
13. Third-Party Applications and Sharing Destinations
When you use the iOS Share Sheet, Photos, Files, AirDrop, cloud storage, messaging, social media, editing software, or another destination, your content is transferred according to your selection. After transfer, that destination's privacy policy and security practices apply.
The developer does not control how third-party services retain, analyze, publish, compress, transcode, or share your content. Review the privacy settings of each service before sending sensitive footage.
14. Data Retention
Locally stored recordings remain on your device until you delete them, uninstall the application, erase the device, or another device-level action removes them. Some data may remain in backups controlled by you or Apple until those backups expire or are deleted.
Support emails and related records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain business records, prevent abuse, comply with law, and defend legal claims. Diagnostic data may be retained for a limited period appropriate to troubleshooting and product improvement.
15. Deleting Your Information
You can delete recordings from the application's library using available delete controls. Before deleting the application, export any recordings you wish to keep. Removing the application may permanently remove locally stored application data.
You can also revoke camera, microphone, Photos, and other permissions in iOS Settings. To request deletion of support correspondence or other information held directly by the developer, contact us using the email below. We may need to retain limited records where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.
16. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information. However, no device, transmission, backup, storage system, or service is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device with a passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, current software updates, secure backups, and careful sharing choices.
Anyone who can unlock your device may be able to view recordings stored in the application. Avoid leaving confidential footage on an unlocked or shared device.
17. Children
The application is a general camera utility and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age in the user's jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account-registration system. Parents and guardians should supervise recording activity and ensure that children understand privacy and consent obligations.
18. International Processing
If you contact support or if a service provider processes diagnostics, information may be processed in countries other than your own. Privacy laws in those countries may differ. Where required, reasonable safeguards will be used for international transfers.
19. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or information about how personal data is processed. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority.
Because most recordings are stored only on your device, the developer may not possess or be able to recover them. Requests should identify the information you believe the developer holds, such as a support email or diagnostic report.
20. California and Similar Privacy Rights
Where applicable, you may request information about categories of personal information collected, sources, purposes, disclosures, and retention. We do not intend to sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
21. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy when features, laws, Apple requirements, or service providers change. The effective date at the top will be updated. Material changes may also be communicated inside the application or through another appropriate method.
22. Contact Us
